Doggy P.J.’s

Before I eve start, yes, I admit that I’m one of those people.

One of those people that puts clothes on their dogs.

I can’t help it.

It’s just so darn cute and adorable to resist.

In my defense, Sputnick LOVES wearing clothes.

I don’t know why, but I sort of think it may be comforting and securing for him.

Prissy, on the other hand, HATES clothes.

She’s too wild and free. Like a majestic lion, a wild horse, a roaming…

You get my point.

Anyways, here they are in their pajamas.

And for the record, getting Prissy in that required a lot of bribing, and as soon as the picture was taken, she was out of it.

Clearly, she’s just not having any of it.

God love her.

What An Inspiration

I’ve recently made a friend whose photography is absolutely jaw dropping.

His name is Blake Woolwine and he has helped me IMMENSELY when it comes to all things photography.

That’s something that you don’t see from most photographers with his level of success!

I strongly encourage everyone to check out his work!

All of his work is top notch, from portrait to scenery, even to his stunning video work!

So, as just a minor thanks for what he’s done for me, I’m going to post the links to his webpage so everyone will be able to see how great his work really is!

Vinyl Wall Art

My style and taste constantly changes.

Especially when it comes to clothing and my room decorations.

And food…. but that’s another story for another time.

This post, however, is dedicated to wall art for my room.

In attempt to spice up my room with my sense of style, I decided to make use of some records that I had bought at antique stores, music stores and had donated to me.

The majority, actually was donated to me by a very dear friend.

The records were her grandpa’s who she loved dearly. He sadly passed away and my friend wasn’t sure what to do with the records and decided to donate them to me because she knew I liked them. How awesome of a friend is that!?

I wanted something eclectic, vintage-esque and new to the brain.

I’m not totally sure if that made sense…but it did to me, so it’s all good.

So, I gathered up all of the old records and pinned them up on my wall in an almost cloud like pattern.

I have to say, I am very pleased with the results!

The last picture was actually taken with my iPhone 4S, so that’s why the quality isn’t as great as the rest.

I also added different effects to each picture, just to continue my “spicing up” trend.

What do you guys think about it!?

What could I have done differently that would make it better?

Do any of you guys collect records or use them as art? If so, I’d love to see!

1 Year Anniversary Quick-Shoot

At church Sunday before last, one of my best friends that I’ve ever had asked me to snap a few shots of her and her husband, Michael, for their one year anniversary.

I was honored that she asked me and of course, said yes.

It was very spur-of-the-moment.

In fact, I used her camera because I didn’t bring mine.

……..I need to start bringing mine everywhere, again.

But anywho, this is the outcome!

How BEAUTIFUL is this couple!?

I mean seriously, someone get Nicholas Sparks. He has a book to write about them.

Unfortunately, since we didn’t have much time, we weren’t able to snap many photos, so we ended keeping 4 sets of 2.

One picture in color, and one in black and white for a total of eight.

These four above are just my favorite out of each set.

I always love using black and white, and most of the time, I choose between it and color.

However, this wasn’t the case at this Quick-Shoot.

Black and white is just so classy…. and dreamy…. and lovely….. and someone play The Notebook already!

Michael and Tiffany had wanted to incorporate their wedding picture in their 1 Year shoot, and how awesome of an idea is that!?

That’s Tiffany for ya. Sharp as a tack, and a very talented photographer!

(I’m trying to get her to write a guest post……. I think she’ll come around.)

The Super Moon

My Facebook and Twitter blew up last night, and the common theme was “The Super Moon.”

Apparently, if I was told right, the moon was 14-15% larger than usual last night, because of its closer proximity to the Earth.

I wasn’t able to catch it last night, due to cloud coverage, but I made sure not to pass the chance up tonight!

Here is what I was able to catch.

As I was taking this, I realized how truly hard it is to take pictures of the night sky and moon.

Does anyone have any tips as to how to become better at this?

It would be greatly appreciated!

Goodnight everyone…

And Goodnight Moon!

Prom Pictures Pt. 1

To be completely honest, when I went to my senior prom 2 years ago, I was disappointed.

I was let down from all the hype that everyone made prom out to be.

However, at a Prom Picture photo shoot I did a few days ago, I had an epiphany as to which why I was let down.

Prom is for the girls.

Yup.

Prom is made to be one of the best, most looked-forward to nights of a girls life, and I have no problem with that.

At the photo shoot, the girls that I took pictures of were very excited, and most of the excitement centered around the dresses, make-up, shoes and hair, of course.

Being graduated for a few years, it was really something different to see them going to prom, and honestly, I was so excited for them.

Prom is definitely an exciting time in a high schooler’s life.

My advice to all high schooler’s out there would be to live it up at prom!

It doesn’t happen in someone’s life very often, so have fun!

What’s that popular phrase….?

YOLO?

Yeah, that.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures I took and edited from the shoot.

I have a few more left to do, so I’ll post those as soon as I’m finished.

Helping Your Community

Hey everyone!

It’s been FOREVER, it feels, since I last posted.

Well…turns out….it has been.

Instead of just giving you the “I’ve been super busy” excuse, I’ll just prove it.

I’ve been really active in my church, the college age class and I’ve been given a few opportunities there as well.

Firstly, I am now over all Media related who’s-it’s and what’s-it’s galore.

(Yes, that was a Little Mermaid reference. I’m a Disney freak, I can’t help it.)

So with that job, I’m responsible for keeping the church website up to date, make any posters and/or flyers that are needed, be available to take pictures at all events, etc. etc.

I’m also getting ready to start helping out in the youth group there, which I’m SO excited about.

I’ve also been job hunting like crazy and finally got one!

Anywho..

A week or so ago, my church held a Clothing Drive.

The church does annual yard sales and we always have people donate clothes to us.

So, instead of saling the clothes, we decided to give them away.

We had TONS of clothes for all sizes and ages, and it was awesome to be able to bless the community with free clothes, and free hot dogs as well!

This was our lovely volunteers, and let me tell ya, these people are truly, apart from my family, the biggest blessing to me.

And yes, I’m the 6th from the left, top row. I had a serious debate with myself on whether or not I should blur myself out, but decided not to. So, could you just not look there, kthnxbai.

So, the question is:

Do you help out in your community? If so, what do you do to help out?

If not, what would you like to get involved in or plan to help your community?

Have a blessed day everyone!!
